About The Artist

Based in Orlando, Florida, İhsan Çınar is an independent Turkish artist whose melodic foundations were built during the golden age of 1970s analog recording. Beginning in 1971 at Istanbul’s iconic Fono Disk Studios, he collaborated as a sound engineer with Anatolian rock legends 3 Hürel and voiced the soulful track "Ah Annem Annem Neden Bahtsızım Bu Dünyada," composed for him by Haldun Hürrel. His later experience as a photojournalist for Hürriyet alongside Sadettin Teksoy sharpened his eye for the human condition—a perspective that now defines his songwriting. Today, Çınar merges five decades of musical wisdom with modern AI production to craft atmospheric, cinematic narratives. His project, "Istanbul Night Jazz and Blues," evokes 1970s nostalgia through city lights, old taverns, and midnight taxis, creating a bridge between analog warmth and the digital present. As he believes, "Some songs are listened to... others are lived."
